The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957 and is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. The Canton Fair is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and hosted by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is China’s longest history, largest scale, most complete products, most purchasers from the widest range of sources, best transaction results, and best reputation. It is a major international trade event and is known as China’s first exhibition, a barometer and weather vane of China’s foreign trade.

This year’s Canton Fair added nine special zones, with approximately 670 participating companies and over 1,300 booths. “These include intelligent products such as drones and smart wearables, green and low-carbon products like bamboo and wood tableware and technological and functional fabrics, as well as emerging themes like integrated housing and fashion accessories, comprehensively meeting the urgent needs of relevant enterprises to expand into diversified markets and strengthen brand building through the Canton Fair platform,” said Wang Zhihua.

This year’s Canton Fair focuses on new sectors and launches innovative services. It provides a platform for companies to showcase their innovations, with 18 special zones dedicated to emerging future industries such as service robots, smart healthcare, drones, new materials, and new energy. For the first time, it showcases new AI scenarios such as robot inspections and drone flight demonstrations.
